A man has been charged after police allegedly seized a “significant quantity” of stolen property from a storage facility in Tasmania’s north.
Detectives from Taskforce Raven arrested the 50-year-old from Rocherlea on Saturday.
It came as part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged theft and distribution of stolen goods across northern Tasmania.
The arrest followed a search warrant executed at a Newstead storage facility on February 16, where officers allegedly located and seized the haul.
The man has been charged with possession of stolen property, unlawful possession of property, possessing a controlled drug and driving while his licence was suspended.

He is expected to face the Launceston Magistrates Court at a later date.
Police said the taskforce would continue pursuing those allegedly involved in stealing and distributing stolen goods.
“Taskforce Raven continues to target individuals and groups involved in crime, ensuring stolen property is recovered and offenders are held accountable,” a spokesperson said.
“Police encourage anyone with information relating to the theft or distribution of stolen goods to contact Tasmania Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.”
