A power-tool obsessed thief has been nabbed after allegedly stealing close to $80,000 worth of property from across Launceston in recent weeks.
The 28-year-old Ravenswood man allegedly committed multiple burglaries and motor vehicle stealings throughout the Western Junction and the West Tamar area last month.
Police say a ‘large quantity’ of stolen power tools have since been recovered after various searches, most of which have now been returned to their owners.
The man has been charged with 11 counts of burglary, 9 counts of stealing and 3 counts of motor vehicle stealing and will appear in an after-hours court tonight.
