A man has been charged with murder after a violent incident in Hobart resulted in the death of a 51-year-old man yesterday.
According to Tasmania Police, officers responded to reports of a disturbance at a private residence on Liverpool Street around 3:30PM on Monday.
Upon arrival, police found the victim, who was later identified as a 51-year-old man from Glenorchy, with blunt force injuries to his head.
He was rushed to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious condition, but tragically died earlier today.
The police have charged a 52-year-old man from Hobart with murder in connection to the incident.
The accused is believed to have known the victim, and he has been detained in custody to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court later today.
