Man cut from car, airlifted to hospital after Lake Leake crash

A man from Tasmania’s northern midlands has been airlifted to hospital after crashing into a tree overnight.

The 42-year-old was cut from the car on Lake Road Road near Lake Leake by SES crews and Ambulance Tasmania around 11:30pm on Friday night.

He was transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital by helicopter.

Police say the man sustained “non life threatening injuries” and the crash is currently under investigation.

“Initial investigations suggest the man lost control of his vehicle on a right hand band of the gravel road, colliding with a tree,” Police said.
