An apprentice carpenter has copped a $300 fine for causing chaos in the North Hobart McDonald’s during a wild night out on the town.
As reported by The Mercury, the incident happened in the early hours of Sunday March 5th when the young man was caught urinating inside the restaurant.
According to police prosecutor Melanie Baker, the man had urinated near people who were trying to eat when he was “accosted” by another customer.
Police were called, and the man was hit with a fine for his drunken behavior.

When the man fronted up to the Hobart Magistrates Court today, he claimed that he had a “few drinks” on the night in question but believed that he had been drugged, adding that he could not remember anything from 3am onwards.
However, Magistrate Chris Webster was unsympathetic to his excuses, saying that he had probably “drank too much” and that there were toilets in McDonald’s restaurants.
