A man in his 40s has been left bloodied after a violent altercation with a group of young people at the Rosny bus mall this afternoon.
Tasmania Police said the disturbance occured around 2pm on Monday, with the man suffering injuries to his face and head.
Video obtained by Pulse showed a group of seven youths running down stairs into the Eastlands car park toward the man before a fight broke out between him and one of the male youths.
Others in the group watched and filmed the altercation from the steps.

The pair continued to fight as crowds looked on from the bus mall above, with bystanders heard yelling at them to stop and one throwing an object down toward the pair.
At one point, the man demanded the male youth return his phone.

Another youth was heard encouraging the boy to “smash it on him” before the boy threw the phone toward the man.
The man was later seen walking away with blood dripping from his face.
Images taken shortly after showed him shirtless, with blood covering his face and chest, as he spoke with a security guard from the Eastlands shopping centre.
Tasmania Police said officers are investigating and have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 131 444.
