Man left with head injury after Derwent Valley attack

A man has been left with an injury to his head after allegedly being attacked by two Derwent Valley locals this afternoon.

Police say officers found the man at a property on Henry Crescent in New Norfolk non-life threatening injuries around 12:30pm on Tuesday.

The offenders, a 36-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, were located at their nearby home address a short time later and arrested.

The pair have both been charged with wounding and will appear in court at a later date.

While the police did not specify what weapon was used in the incident, a spokesperson said it had been located and seized.
