A man has been taken to hospital after being rescued from waters off Snug Beach on Tuesday afternoon when his dinghy capsized.
Emergency services received reports about 12:55pm of a person in distress clinging to an overturned vessel roughly 50 metres from the shore.

The man was pulled from the water by rescue crews and treated at the scene before being transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Police said his condition was not believed to be life-threatening.

It remains unclear what caused the small vessel to capsize or how long the man had been in the water before emergency services were alerted.
