A man towing a caravan has been charged with drink driving after concerned members of the public reported his erratic driving to police.
The 63-year-old was pulled over on the East Tamar Highway at George Town around 12:45pm on Sunday following reports about his “manner of driving”.
Police said the man was arrested on the spot and taken to the George Town Police Station.
There, a breath analysis allegedly revealed a blood alcohol reading of 0.208, more than four times the legal limit of 0.05.
The man has been disqualified from driving for the next two years and released on bail.
He will appear in court at a later date.
