A Christmas tragedy has been narrowly avoided, with a diver who went missing in Tasmania’s Far South earlier today located alive & well just now.
Tas Maritime Radio put a call for assistance out shortly after 12pm when a diver was unaccounted for in Recherche Bay.

Police and Emergency Services called off the search not long after 12:30pm after the diver was located, with the Rescue Helicopter turning around in the Channel region.
Authorities are warning people to take care on our roads and in our waters this festive season.
