A man has been arrested and charged after allegedly riding a motorcycle between east coast wineries and food businesses, targeting cash at each.
Police arrested the 35-year-old Prospect man in Launceston on Thursday, around six weeks after the alleged break-ins.
Detectives allege the man rode between wineries and retail food outlets in the Swansea and Bicheno region overnight on February 21, stealing cash from each location.
South East CIB detectives led the investigation with help from officers at east coast stations and Northern CIB.
During the investigation, police identified “similar methods” used in burglaries reported across the north and north-west between December 2025 and February this year.

Police will allege the man was responsible for those break-ins too.
He has been charged with 12 counts of burglary and 11 counts of stealing.
The man has been detained and is expected to face court.
