A motorcyclist has died in hospital almost two months after he was seriously injured in a crash with a car on Hobart’s Brooker Avenue.
The 36-year-old man from Glenorchy collided with a silver Holden Captiva around 8:15pm on January 16 at the intersection with Brisbane Street.
He was rushed to the nearby Royal Hobart Hospital where he passed away on March 16.
Police said crash investigators will prepare a report for the coroner.
“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time,” they said.
Images from the scene on the night of the incident showed the Captiva parked on Brisbane Street with significant damage to its rear left side.
The motorcycle involved, a black Suzuki GSXR 1000 R1, could be seen in the northbound lane of the Brooker, just past the Brisbane Street intersection.
