A motorcyclist has been flown to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in George Town.
The 47-year-old man was riding a black Kawasaki Ninja motorbike along Bridport Road around 6:15pm on Thursday when he crashed.

Emergency services were called to the scene and found the man with serious injuries.
He was flown to the Launceston General Hospital in a serious condition.
Bridport Road was closed for several hours while police investigated the crash.
Witnesses who saw the motorbike in the area and may have information on its manner of driving should contact police.
