A mountain bike rider has been flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital with serious injuries after crashing during an event at Maydena.
The incident occurred at the Maydena Bike Park on Saturday during the Enduro Jam, an event that has attracted riders from across the state.

Police and emergency services are responding to the incident, with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter tasked to transport the injured rider to hospital.
Organisers earlier described the event as a “race that is different to the rest”, with categories for all ability levels and unlimited uplifts to set the fastest time.
