A 38-year-old Campania man has been officially charged with murder in relation to the death of a woman on a Campania driveway yesterday.
Police say the man was known to the 37-year-old woman who died from serious injuries after being struck by a car on a property in Native Corners Road.
The man will appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Campania woman hit, killed by car overnight
An investigation has been launched into the suspicious death of a woman who was found dead in Campania near Richmond overnight.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Native Corners Road about 3:30am, following a report of a seriously injured person who had potentially been hit by a car.
The woman was located by first responders and sadly was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 38-year-old Campania man was taken into custody at the scene and is assisting police with their investigation.
Police including officers from CIB, Forensics and Uniform attended the scene and are conducting examinations.
