Near miss as bus crashes through fence, into Geilston Bay garden

A bus has crashed through a fence and ended up in a garden after crossing onto the wrong side of the East Derwent Highway this morning.

Photos from the scene show the bus stopped in a bush just metres from a residential home.

Pulse understands the driver of the bus had left it parked, before it rolled down the highway and crashed.

Motorists are asked to avoid the Geilston Bay area while the bus is removed, which could take several hours.

No injuries have been reported.
