A new piece of Aboriginal artwork has been unveiled in Hobart today.
‘I am Country’, a deeply moving artwork by Aboriginal Tasmanian artist Caleb Nichols-Mansell takes inspiration from the water below Hobart, which moves from kunanyi/Mt Wellington down to timtumilli minunya/Derwent River.
The artwork was selected by a specially convened panel as part of the City of Hobart’s Aboriginal Commitment and Action Plan and can be found outside the Hobart Town Hall.
