Smokey 7, a beloved new, small cafe in Kingston town, has been forced to close it’s doors today following an act of vandalism overnight.

The cafe posted a message to their Facebook page late last night, explaining the closure was necessary for further investigation and repair after broken glass, a flipped table and smashed window were left by the vandals.

A user asked, “Do you have any photos of the people/kids who did this? This is terrible. I’m so sorry. They should pay you back.”

The extent of the damage is yet to be confirmed, but the closure has affected the employees who are out of work for at least one day.
