The New Norfolk Community Pantry have been left heart broken after becoming the latest target of the thieves in the Derwent Valley.
The Community Pantry had vital operating equipment, stock and cash stolen on Wednesday night.
President Samantha Sayers said the vital service has been left “unable to operate”.
“Someone decided that they were more deserving of the goods in here than the rest of the community,” Sayers said.
“They haven’t caused a lot of damage, however they have stolen quite a considerable amount of goods.”
“This has left us heart broken.”
“Not being able to operate and provide our service to our community is really tough.”
Footage of the offenders, who were captured on CCTV, alongside DNA has been collected by Tasmania Police and will be “processed as soon as possible”.
Anyone who may come across large quantities of batteries, kitchen knives or scissors for sale is asked to contact Police.
