Police continue search for George Town man missing for nearly a month

Police are continuing to search for a missing George Town man who was last seen nearly a month ago.

Officers conducted further searches in the George Town area yesterday, assisted by search and rescue teams and SES personnel, but have yet to locate the 58-year-old.

He was last seen on January 14 walking near Low Head.

His car remains parked in the driveway of his George Town home, with groceries still left in the fridge.

The man is described as being about six foot five with a slim build.

His family said he regularly walked around George Town and Low Head, including up Mt George.

Police have previously deployed a rescue helicopter, quad bikes, trail bikes and ground crews as part of the search effort.

The family has also created a Facebook page to help spread the word.

“No news over the weekend, the search continues so we are keeping fingers crossed for any news,” a post on the page reads.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 131 444, quoting ESCAD 108-21012026.
