A Bridgewater home and car have been peppered with bullets in an allegedly targeted late-night shooting, with two people inside the house at the time.
Tasmania Police are appealing for help to track down two men who allegedly fled the scene on a motorcycle on Thursday night.
The shooting in Hobart’s northern suburbs happened just before 8:30pm on McShane Road. No one was injured.
Police allege the pair rode up to the property together before one got off the bike and approached the house on foot.

“One person, wearing a motorcycle helmet, then approached the house on foot and fired at least three shots with a small calibre rifle at the front of the building,” a police spokesperson said.
The alleged gunman then turned on a vehicle parked in the driveway, allegedly firing two more shots through the rear window.

“The person then ran from the scene and got on the rear of the waiting motorcycle, with the two people riding away towards Gunn Street,” the spokesperson said.
Investigators are yet to outline a possible motive or say whether the occupants of the house were known to the alleged offenders.
Police are urging anyone who saw two people on a motorcycle in the McShane Road, Eddington Street or Gunn Street areas around the time of the shooting to come forward.
They are also keen to speak with residents who may have captured the alleged offenders on CCTV or dashcam footage.

“Police investigations are continuing,” the spokesperson added.
“Anyone with information or who has CCTV or dashcam footage from McShane Road last night is asked to contact police on 131 444. You can report anonymously to Crime Stoppers.”
