A man has died after his car left the Midland Highway, rolled and landed on its roof near Pontville, north of Hobart, overnight.
Tasmania Police said the 42-year-old was the only person in the vehicle.
Emergency services were called to the scene near the Pontville roundabout shortly before 10:40pm on Friday.
Police said the man was driving south in a blue Mercedes station wagon when it left the road and rolled.
No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.

The highway was shut for several hours while police examined the scene.
Crash investigators are still working to piece together what happened.
Police have asked anyone with information or relevant dash cam footage to come forward.
“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones,” police said.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
