Hobart is experiencing ‘alarmingly high’ levels of pollen this summer. 🐝🌾
Earlier this week, pollen levels in the city reached over 400 grains per cubic meter, with around 216 grains per cubic meter recorded on the weekend.
According to allergy experts, levels above 100 grains per cubic meter are considered extreme and can pose a risk to those with allergies.
As a result, pharmacists in the city have seen an increase in customers seeking allergy medication to treat symptoms such as itchy eyes and runny noses.
