Port Adelaide manager Rob Mason lands new job with the Tasmania Devils

The Tasmania Devils have appointed respected coach developer Rob Mason as their new Learning and Development Lead, strengthening the club’s approach to educational and sporting pathways across the state.

Mason, a proud Tasmanian, joins the Devils from Port Adelaide Football Club where he served as Coach Development Manager.

He is set to play a central role in the delivery and expansion of the Tasmania Academy of Leadership and Sport (TALS) program.

Mason brings extensive experience as a coach developer, educator and researcher, with a background in building learning capacity among coaches, athletes, teachers and students.

Tasmania Football Club Consumer Manager Jesse O’Hara said they “could not be happier” to welcome Mason to the Devils.

“Rob will be playing a lead education role in our Club, with a significant focus on Tasmania Academy of Leadership and Sport,” O’Hara said.

“He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this role; and we are confident he will create great impact at our Club and across Tasmania.”

Mason will also drive new initiatives including short courses and a state-wide football coach development program.

He will commence his new position in September.
