Marine and Safety Tasmania (MAST) has announced that demolition works will commence, weather permitting, at the jetty site on Monday.

“Mariners should obey all safety signage and contractor instructions,” MAST say.

“Mariners transiting the area are requested to do so at low speed and keep vessel wash to a minimum.”

It is not known if a new jetty will be constructed in its place.
