Anthony Albanese has been spotted enjoying a private holiday in Tasmania with wife Jodie Haydon, leaving Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles in charge of the country.
The Prime Minister and his wife were seen having lunch at Machine Laundry Cafe in Salamanca today.

The Prime Minister was seen wearing hiking boots and a black wool overcoat.
Albanese’s office confirmed on Friday he would take just under a week off from running the country.
“The Prime Minister will be on leave from Friday 31 July until Thursday 6 August 2026,” a statement from his office read.
“During this time, the Deputy Prime Minister will be Acting Prime Minister.”
