Tasmania Police said driving at such a speed “significantly increases the risk of a serious or fatal crash”.

“Anyone driving over the speed limit increases the risk not just to themselves, but to all other road users,” police said.

“Travelling at such a high speed on our roads will not be tolerated, with drivers being held to account.”
