A 50-year-old Queenstown man is in hospital with serious injuries after losing control of a dirt bike on the Midland Highway at Kempton early this morning.
Police and emergency services were called to Constitution Hill around 5:50am on Saturday after the single-vehicle crash.
The man had been riding a yellow RM-Z250 Suzuki dirt bike southbound when he lost control and crashed, according to preliminary investigations.
He was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital with serious injuries to his legs and arms.

Police are now investigating the crash and are asking anyone who saw the yellow dirt bike on the Midland Highway at Kempton before the incident to come forward.
Police thanked the community for their patience while investigations were carried out at the scene.
