Two Tasmanian bed and breakfast businesses have made it to the top 10 in the nation in the recent TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Best of the Best awards.
While Yarra Gables in Healesville Victoria secured the number 1 spot, Stanley’s Ship Inn on Tasmania’s far north-west coast came in at a close second.
The Ship Inn was praised for its “beautiful renovation, delightful ambiance and attention to detail”.
“Each room boasts unique themes and luxurious bedding, ensuring a cosy stay.”
The Penghana Bed & Breakfast in Queenstown on Tasmania’s West Coast ranked at number 7 on the national list, commended for its “historic charm, beautiful gardens, and magnificent views”.
Built in 1898 for the General Manager of the Mount Lyell Mining and Railway Company, Penghana claims to be one of Tasmania’s most “historic stately mansions”.
Launceston’s Dragonfly Inn and Lake St Clair’s Pumphouse Point also made the top 20, coming in at #15 and #20 respectively.
