A rally car co-driver has been injured after the car he was navigating crashed into a tree during an event in southern Tasmania this afternoon.
The vehicle left the road and hit the tree on Hopetoun Road in Dover, which had been closed to the public for the rally.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Race officials and medical staff on site provided first aid before the man was flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Tasmania Police also attended the scene.

The crash occurred during the Stormhill Sprint, a round of the Tasmanian Rally Championship being held in the Dover area on Saturday.
The event was based at Dover District School, with the finish line at Dover Golf Club in Thirlstane.
The rally was expected to wrap up around 6:20pm, with cars running through to after dark.
The Huon Valley Council had warned locals to expect two-way spectator and rally traffic on Hopetoun Road and Stubbs Road throughout the day and to allow extra travel time.

It is the first time the Tasmanian Rally Championship has been in the south of the state since 2019.
