A police vessel, a nearby civilian boat and the rescue helicopter were all sent to the area.
Emergency services broadcast an alert over maritime radio and a short time later the civilian vessel found the two divers onshore about 500 metres from where they had been expected to return.
Both divers were unharmed and were taken back to Hobart.
