A teenage driver who recklessly fled from police at 75km/h over the speed limit in the early hours of Saturday morning is set to face court.
The 17-year-old was allegedly caught speeding at a staggering 185km/h in a 110km/h zone on the Midlands Highway shortly after midnight on Saturday.

When officers attempted to pull the teenager over on the East Derwent Highway near Bridgewater, they raced away again.
Police say officers caught up with the teen later that day and impounded their vehicle for “an initial period of 6 months”.
The teenager will be summons to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court for evade police (aggravated), exceeding the speed limit by 75km/h and negligent driving at a later date.
