Rescue helicopter called in after two-car crash on Tasmania’s east coast

A person has been injured in a two-vehicle crash on Tasmania’s east coast.

The crash happened near the intersection of the Tasman Highway and Falmouth Road at Falmouth, about 15 kilometres south of St Helens, on Friday afternoon.

Police said a rescue helicopter had been dispatched to the scene.

“At this stage their injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening,” police said.

“Motorists are asked to slow down and drive with caution until the scene is cleared.”
