A motorcyclist has suffered reportedly serious injuries in a crash on Tasmania’s east coast, with a rescue helicopter dispatched to the scene.
The single-vehicle crash happened on Elephant Pass Road at Chain of Lagoons.

Tasmania Police confirmed the rider was receiving help at the scene after the crash, which was reported prior to 12:50pm on Friday.
“At this stage their injuries are believed to be serious,” police said.
“Motorists are asked to avoid the area or anticipate delays until the scene is cleared.”
