People living under the flight path of planes coming and going from Hobart Airport are ‘sick and tired of the noise’, and are calling for flights to be banned during certain hours of the day. ✈️😩
Some residents of Dunalley, Dodges Ferry and Primrose Sands are ‘over’ the sound of the aircraft, saying the early morning and late night flights make it ‘impossible’ to sleep, while others ‘wish more’ planes were flying into Hobart.
Fed up residents will have the opportunity to attend several community consultation sessions next week to discuss ‘noise reduction options’ for the airport, which is the largest and busiest in Tasmania with around 35 flights each day.
