Updated 10am, Saturday December 14: A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries overnight following a motorbike crash in Bridgewater.
Emergency services were called to Killarney Road around 7:25pm on Friday to reports of a collision involving an off-road motorbike and a motorised push bike.
Police say early investigations indicate the two bikes collided head-on.
The 19-year-old sustained serious injuries, while a younger boy involved received minor injuries.
The road was closed for two hours to allow crash investigators to examine the scene.
Earlier: Police say serious injuries have been reported as a result of a crash involving a motorcycle and a motorised bike in Hobart’s northern suburbs tonight.
The collision on Killarney Road in Bridgewater was reported to emergency services just after 7:30pm on Friday.
A large number of police and paramedics are at the scene.
