The Liberal party maintains a 38-32% lead over Labor, with a six-point gap, up from five percent in May.

The Greens’ support decreased to 14%, following the departure of their long-time leader Cassy O’Connor.

Support for minor parties and independents fell from 33% in May to 30% in August.

The poll suggests that neither major party can form government without the support of minor party MPs or independents.

Polling was conducted from the 15th to the 21st of August among 1,000 random adult Tasmanian residents.
