Police are searching for a George Town man who has been missing for more than a week, with aerial resources now being deployed to locate him.
Michael from George Town has not been seen since January 13, prompting growing concern from family and friends who have been unable to contact him.
Tasmania Police conducted searches across several areas in George Town today, with the rescue helicopter called in to assist ground crews.
Authorities have not released details about the circumstances of Michael’s disappearance but have indicated his extended absence has raised welfare concerns.
Police are now appealing to the public for any information that might help locate Michael.

“If anyone has seen Michael since 13 January, or has CCTV which may show him, they are asked to contact George Town Police,” a police spokesperson said.
The search has focused on multiple locations around the George Town area, approximately 50 kilometres north of Launceston.
Community members with potential information are asked to contact George Town Police on 131 444 and quote ESCAD 108-21012026 when reporting sightings or providing details.
