Serious injuries after three vehicle crash on Arthur Highway near Sorell

The Arthur Highway at Sorell remains closed following a serious three-vehicle crash earlier today.

Police were called to the collision at the Nugent Road exit around 6pm.

One person has been transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital with serious injuries.

Crash investigators are currently examining the scene.

“Diversions are in place for motorists to divert via Nugent Road and Delmore Road,” police said.

“Motorists are asked to avoid the area.”
