Three people are facing charges after an alleged hammer attack at a shopping centre on Hobart’s eastern shore last night.
Police arrested the trio at Eastlands in Rosny after responding to reports of threatening behaviour around 6:30pm on Wednesday.
They allege two women armed with a hammer were threatening members of the public.
Two people were injured during the incident.
Among those charged is a 15-year-old from Gagebrook, accused of unlawfully possessing a dangerous article in a public place and common assault.

A 19-year-old Bellerive woman has also been charged with common assault and assaulting a police officer.
A 20-year-old West Hobart woman is facing multiple charges for unlawfully possessing a dangerous article in a public place, common assault and assaulting a police officer.
Inspector Andrew Keane said police “will not tolerate” dangerous and anti-social behaviour.
“Carrying dangerous articles and threatening and assaulting members of our community, including our emergency services personnel, is unacceptable,” he said.
“Everyone has the right to be safe in our community.”
