Smoke alert issued as fire breaks out at house in Glenorchy

Tasmania Fire Service crews are battling a structure fire on Bowden Street in Glenorchy.

The blaze broke out shortly before 8pm, with smoke seen throughout Glenorchy.

A smoke alert has been issued for the area, urging people to stay away if they don’t need to be there.

The Tasmania Fire Service said there is no threat to the general public.
