The fire, which was scheduled to start at 10AM and will finish at 8PM tonight, has been registered by a private permit holder and covers an area of 7 hectares.

Registered burns are conducted under strict conditions and are closely monitored to ensure public safety.

However, for residents who may be concerned about the fire activity, the TFS has urged them to report any such incidents to the emergency services by calling 000.
