Snakes Alive Tasmania have reported an increase in callouts around the south of the state over the last few days, particularly near Kingston and Margate.

Veronika Ross from Snakes Alive said we’re reaching the season “a bit earlier than usual” as a result of the recent warm weather.

A maximum of 20.1 degrees was recorded at Hobart Airport shortly before 2 PM today, with a top of only 14 degrees expected on Tuesday.
