People across Hobart have woken to a dusting on the mountain this morning, with snow covering the top of kunanyi/Mt Wellington.
Temperatures dropped to 5.6 degrees in Hobart City overnight, with a freezing minimum of -3.4 recorded at 2 AM on the summit of kunanyi.

The City of Hobart have closed the gates to the mountain at The Springs due to ice. An update on the gate status is next expected at 12 PM today.
The Bureau of Meteorology say they are expecting snow to ‘briefly lower’ to 700 metres around the south on Monday morning, following the passage of a cold front.
