Just hours after an emergency level bushfire threatened parts of the state, snow has now fallen in parts of Tasmania.
Webcam images from the top of kunanyi/Mt Wellington a short time ago shows a solid dusting of snow on the mountain.

A wind gust of 119km/h was recorded on kunanyi at 6 AM.
The Bureau of Meteorology say a top of 14 degrees is expected today, with rain and possible hail on the way across Tasmania’s south-east.
