With SNOW forecast down to 700m on kunanyi/Mt Wellington tonight, the road to the summit is set to close later today!
The first big cold front of 2023, the BOM say snow is expected to fall to The Springs, bringing with it the chance of hail and a thunderstorm in the far south later tonight.

“Snow falling above 700 metres. The chance of a thunderstorm in the far south. Possible hail in the far south later tonight. Winds northwesterly 35 to 50 km/h.”
The Pinnacle Road will close at the Springs at 6pm tonight, according to the City of Hobart.
