A 43-year-old South Launceston woman has been charged after allegedly trying to poison a man over a period of months.
Tasmania Police said the woman had delivered “intentionally contaminated drinks” to a 47-year-old man on several separate occasions.

The man did not drink any of the beverages and was not physically injured, according to police.

“The man and the woman were known to each other and there is no indication that contaminated drinks were sent to any other person,” a Tasmania Police spokesperson said.
The woman has been charged with two counts of attempted unlawfully administering poison with intent to harm.
She has been detained to appear in court.
