Two Tasmanian drivers are on the verge of losing their licences after they were caught zooming down the Midlands Highway at over 40km/hr above the limit.
The pair were travelling south together in a red Holden Commodore and dark blue Mazda 6 when they were clocked travelling at 152km/h in a 110km/h zone near Powranna, just south of Symmons Plains Raceway.
Police said both were stopped by northern highway patrol at Epping Forest around 2:30pm on Saturday afternoon.
Both drivers now face instant licence disqualification.
One will also be charged with being an unaccompanied learner driver and will face an extra fine and disqualification.
