An investigation is underway after a fire caused significant damage to a vacant Mornington home on Wednesday night.
Emergency services were called to the vacant Binalong Road residence at around 10pm, where fire crews found “significant smoke and water damage”.

Authorities say the fire was deliberately lit and started under the bedroom floor.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the fire and are urging anyone who witnessed the blaze or anyone acting suspiciously nearby to come forward.
