A motorbike that was stolen from a New Norfolk address during a house burglary has been recovered at a Bridgewater address this week.
Police say the alleged thieves, who were caught on CCTV, broke into the house on Leila Street in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
“With the assistance of information received, police quickly identified the offenders allegedly responsible for the burglary.”
The pair were located shortly after the incident at an address in Bridgewater and arrested, with Police alleging they were “still wearing the clothes worn during the burglary”.
They say a 29-year-old female from Bridgewater and a 39-year-old male from Dromedary have been charged with aggravated burglary and stealing, with both bailed to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.
